Mer is a ceramic and textile artist from Palito Blanco, Texas. Her work explores the intersection of memory, culture, and identity, drawing from personal history and family traditions. Her current installation features hyperrealistic ceramic food and screen-printed textiles inspired by Mexican Otomi embroidery, creating an intimate table setting that honors loved ones and evokes themes of connection, loss, and remembrance. A recent BFA graduate from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, Mer will begin her MFA studies at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in Fall 2025.
